Youth exchange programmes (Long-term and short-term)

Each year, Rotary Clubs and Districts from Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (1620, 1630 and 2170) sponsor between 150 and 250 secondary school students who are willing to live an unforgettable experience whilst discovering another part of the world.

These exchanges usually last one school year. However, some Rotary Clubs and Districts also support short-term exchanges of several weeks or months.

All exchange programmes are open to students aged 16 or older, children of Rotarians or not.

Rotary International and the Rotary Foundation offer young persons and adults the opportunity to participate in programmes, the main purpose of which is helping people and contributing to Rotary’s ultimate mission: peace and global understanding.
